Leon Alabaster
Vocals, percussion.

Born Noam Byrynski in a tin shack in Eastern Northern Carolina, Alabaster adopted his stage name one night after a show with his first band--the Assemblymen--when a woman in the audience walked past him and said, "Hey, Leon." After the dissolution of the Assemblymen, Alabaster got bummed around in various pick-up groups, playing along the coast, making money and learning the lessons of love the hard way. After a knife fight in Myrtle Beach left him critically injured, Alabaster decided it was time to step away from the hard rock sounds he had been refining and, in his words, "work soft." From his blood and tears, the Wusses were born.
